This past June, I was lucky enough to travel all the way to Spain! The first thing on my list of foods to try was none other than CHURROS! These fried dough sticks of perfection are commonly paired with chocolate sauce and coated in a sugar-cinnamon mix.
There has been debate as to where churros originate from, but there is no doubt that they are a Spanish staple! When cacao was introduced to Europe in the 1500s, churros con chocolate were born and have been enjoyed ever since.
Here I am pictured with one of the many plates of churros I enjoyed during my time in Spain. Can't wait to recreate this delicious treat when I am back home!
